"SHOW ME THE WAY HOME HONEY"
Goose (Top Gun)
The Goose system is a collection of products designed to help today's urban cyclist better coexist with automobiles. Today’s urban environment has become a jungle where the automobile is king. The Goose system looks to change this by allowing cyclists to speak the same language as automobiles. The collection includes a
bluetooth speaker that conveniently fits into any standard water bottle holder. This speaker is wirelessly connected to a controller on the handlebar that allows the user to "honk" at 110 decibels (the equivalent to a car horn).
Smart handlebars allow the rider to use their smartphone's GPS without having to remove the device from their pocket. Lights on the end of the handlebars indicate upcoming turns by blinking at an increasingly rapid pace as the turn approaches--keeping all concentration on the road. The speaker comes equipped with an optional verbal indicator as well. An
anti-theft cage is also available, so the speaker does not need to be removed from the bike after every use.

Navigating a city like Paris on a bicycle is no easy feat. There are virtually no parallel streets and urban planning is not exactly user-friendly. The typical urban cyclist relies heavily on GPS technology to find their way, obliging them to momentarily take their attention off the road in order to make occasionally unexpected maneuvers. The Goose's smart handlebars look to change this by INDICATING TURNS
for the rider’s navigational knowledge as well as for the automobiles behind them.
There was a time in History where the bicycle reigned over the urban jungle. It was feared and respected by its peers. Roads were paved with bicycle wheels in mind and rules were made for the rider’s wellbeing. Gone are the days where the self-propelled vehicles rule. Cyclists find themselves scared and confused, exposed to the more powerful vehicles that roar by. What little paths that are left for them are rarely respected and are now DOMINATED BY OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES. The bicycle is defenceless. It has no voice to compete with.

The Goose System is a result of 6 months worth of research. I have spent countless hours observing the habits of urban cyclists in Paris. This book contains the results of my research and the methods that I applied to obtain them. I applied several traditional forms of research and a few unorthodox forms as well, such as what I like to call "candid research". Candid research is the observation of a user without the knowledge of their own surveillance. This method is applied to avoid exterior influence and to obtain truthful research with very little outside variables.
This 100-page book titled "Free Wheel" contains an in-depth behavioural analysis of cyclists. Because the bicycle was our first introduction to freedom, we have carried over these behavioural tendencies into the way we ride our bikes today and the way "non cyclists" view bike riders. “Free Wheel” also analyzes the history of the bicycle and the evolution of the environment around it.
