Bosch Power Tools was founded over 200 years ago. The international company is known for the invention of the spark plug, fuel injection systems, ABS brakes and many more revolutionary products. There is virtually no automobile on earth that does not contain a Bosch part under its hood. They have evolved into a world-wide engineering powerhouse. In-house design is, however, a new venture within the company. Only recently has Bosch begun to see the full potential for innovation by expanding their staff to include more designers. Because design thinking can be applied methodically in almost any environment, the presence of designers has begun to prove worthwhile as overall production has increased.
